Ernesto López Fune

He is a Cuban born Astroparticle Physicist, living Paris. During his third year of universitary studies back in Havana, he got is first digital camera of 5 megapixels "Optimus". Since then, photography became more than a hobby, a space of life where to let the imagination flow and alter the perspective of the photographed object, exploiting the symmetries and making it look totally or partially different from what the eyes see after removing the lens. Always focused to get a better frame, better symmetry and balance

Amateur photographer, mostly focused on Abstracts, Design and Architecture, although he always explores in other photographic styles like Still-Life Photography, Landcape, People & Portraits

He turned more into photography while attending the expositions of Henri Cartier-Bress,  Robert Mapplethorpe, Walker Evans, Eugène Atget and Nick Brandt. He also admires the works of Roberto Chile and Alberto Díaz Gutiérrez (Korda), both cuban photographer


He won the  First Coup de Coeur Price in the photography contests "MA VIE DES HALLES"(with Wipplay Magazine), "HOT SNAPSHOT"(with Focus Numerique Magazine) and "WHEN THE FUTURE STRIKES BACK" (with Caisse d'Epargne et Polka Magazine). Second Coup de Coeur Price in the photography contest "ANIMAUX" (with Wipplay), and the 3rd place in the contests "VITRAIL" (with Cité de L'Architecture et du Patrimoine de Paris). all held in Paris
